Boxing Day Eights, 26 December 2011

Mild weather conditions encouraged a good attendance for this years event. Last years event was held indoors when ice and snow closed the river preventing use of the river.  This year we had excellect conditions and a very competitive Boxing Day Eights race

NRC members gathered at the rowing club with family and friends to take part in this enjoyable morning of fun. Kevin Jump and fellow coaches selected 6 random crews of all ages and abilities to race for the Cliff Salt Trophy

The event is a knock out, short sprint, over approx 300 m; just what was needed to burn off Christmas dinner! Entertaining for everyone, spectators and rowers alike.

Happy New Year, 2012!
