At the Australian Youth Olympic Fesival held in Sydney Australia 3 rowers from Northwich clubs each won 2 medals!Lucy Burgess from Northwich won a gold in the GB womens four and bronze in the GB womens eight. Lucy just missed out on another medal after coming 4th in the womens pair.
Emily Ford from the Grange School Rowing Club won silver in the GB womens quad scull and bronze in the GB womens eight.Emily also came 5th in the womens single scull final.
Ed Grisedale from Northwich Rowing Club scooped 2 bronze medals in the mens four and the mens eight. Ed also got the 4th fastest time in the mens pair.
The team manager was very pleased with their success and with how they coped with the pressure of racing in 3 different boats over a 2day event.
